Dareen Siri, MD is a board-certified Allergist and Immunologist. After attending the University of California School of Medicine, she completed her residency at Brown University – Rhode Island & Miriam Hospitals and a fellowship with the University of South Florida – All Children’s Hospital in Allergy & Immunology.
Dr. Siri is a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI), and a diplomate of both the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. She received an ACAAI Clemens von Pirquet award for her research in innate immunity and was profiled in 2012 by the Springfield Business Journal’s notable 40 under 40.
Dr. Siri has an extensive background in Internal Medicine and founded MASA in 2013.

Robert Kaufmann, MD graduated from Southern Illinois University’s School of Medicine (SIU-SOM) as a trained Obstetrician and Gynecologist and completed his fellowship in Maternal and Fetal Medicine at SIU-SOM. Dr. Kaufmann is also certified in Allergy and Anaphylaxis treatment from the Australian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy.

David C. Crabtree, MD will be serving Midwest Allergy Sinus Asthma, SC, primarily at its Springfield location. As a highly practiced pulmonologist and critical care specialist, Dr. Crabtree has spent decades caring for patients in the Midwestern United States.
Dr. Crabtree received his medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He subsequently continued his education at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics, where he became Chief Medical Resident at its Internal Medicine Residency Program, and completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Crabtree has 30+ of experience working with pulmonary and critical care patients. His diverse training includes working in urgent / emergency care early in his career, and serving as a Director of Respiratory Therapy, Bronchoscopy, and Pulmonary Rehabilitation at St. John’s Hospital. Dr. Crabtree has a plethora of memberships in professional societies, research experience, teaching, and lectureships, having authored multiple publications. His interests
focus on the treatment of all pulmonary conditions, as well as critical care medicine, interventional pulmonary procedures, asthma/COPD, interstitial lung disease, allergy and sinus disease, and innovative procedures / treatments.

David M. Skillrud grew up in Central Illinois and attended Bloomington High School. After earning his M.D. at SIU School of Medicine, Dr. Skillrud spent 6 years completing Residency and Fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Skillrud then returned to Central Illinois where he became the first Pulmonologist to practice in the Bloomington/Normal area and also became the first Sleep Physician in town too. He has treated well over 33,000 patients in Central Illinois during his career.
Dr. Skillrud serves on the Boards of the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association and the SIU School of Medicine Alumni Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) as well as a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP).
With Dr. Skillrud assisting Dr. Siri in our Respiratory program at MASA, rest assured you’ll receive the best care (no pun intended).
Dr. Skillrud is an avid musician with a passion for entertainment. He enjoys spending time with his six kids while enjoying a wonderful Veal Marsala dish. You may even catch Dr. Skillrud sneaking in a cookie here or there, he’s a sucker for sweets!
