Dr. David Tapke offers expert care of allergic and immunologic disorders in children and adults of all ages. He specializes in the treatment of a broad range of disorders including food allergies, sinusitis/environmental allergies, drug allergies, asthma, recurrent infections/immune deficiencies, eczema and allergic contact dermatitis.
Dr. Tapke received his Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University, where he graduated with cum laude honors. Before medical school, he worked as an AmeriCorps volunteer performing asthma education in the South Bronx of New York City. He attended Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine where his time in AmeriCorps inspired him to pursue a dual degree program in which he simultaneously obtained both his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees. Dr. Tapke stayed in Chicago for a pediatrics residency at Rush University Medical Center before entering a combined adult and pediatric fellowship in allergy and clinical immunology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH.
Dr. Tapke prides himself on spending adequate time with patients and focuses on active listening. This approach allows for shared decision making that incorporates the patient’s personal beliefs, values and preferences when creating a treatment plan. The excellent quality of care he provides to his patients has been recognized by his physician peers, who have voted him as a “Top Doctor” in Cincinnati Magazine’s annual registry.

Dr. Gordon Myers received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Richmond. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his residency the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Pediatrics. Dr. Gordon Myers received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Richmond. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his residency the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Pediatrics. During his time there, he focused on his passions of immunodeficiency and food allergy.
Dr. Gordon is board certified in allergy and immunology and in pediatrics.
After completing his education, Dr. Gordon, known Dr. G, returned home to join Cincinnati Allergy & Asthma Center as part of the third generation of allergists. Since his return, he has provided oral immunotherapy (OIT) to his peanut allergic patients and treats patients with recurrent infections. As an allergy and asthma sufferer himself, he remains committed to the practice of evidence-based medicine with an emphasis on patient-centered care and shared decision making.
