Her company Auni Allergy® is a family-owned allergy medical service chain with 9 practices in 4 states and a research and development division headquartered in Findlay, OH. The company was founded in 2020 with a dream of providing people with allergies and immune dysfunction access to convenient treatment options that are safe and effective. Dr. Amber Patterson’s early work with ILIT™ was the scientific foundation for the company. ILIT™ is an ultrasound-guided injection for rapid aeroallergen immunotherapy, reducing allergy treatment time from 100s of shots over 5 years to 3 injections over 8 weeks. Rooted in science, driven by patient needs, Auni Allergy® is pioneering the concept of prioritizing allergy/immunology treatments to fit patients’ lifestyles.
Licensing innovative treatment methods to independent physicians and institutions is key to bringing access to ILIT™ nationwide. Together we are shifting the paradigm of how allergists treat allergies. In 2022 the licensing and clinical service divisions began doing business as Auni Allergy®, and the first license was granted to Shepherd Allergy in West Virginia. 2023 brought the organization of our licensed medical practices into a healthcare learning network, the Auni® ILIT™ Learning Network and opening of full-service Auni Allergy®-branded allergy/immunology clinics in Northwest Ohio (Findlay, Bowling Green and plans for 2024 Perrysburg). In 2024 our Auni® Research and development division was selected as a clinical site for phase 2 and 3 pharmaceutical research trials, and we continue development of patented food allergy and venom treatments which will revolutionize the future for families living with food & venom allergies.
Dr. Patterson is a proud member of CIIC, a place where physician entrepreneurs collaborate and thrive for the benefit of their patients.
